A VISION FOR YOUR SONG

I’m here to HELP YOU

BRING IT TO LIFE

You pour so much love and care into your songs, but they haven’t always ended up feeling exactly how you wanted.

It can be daunting to try to find a mix engineer that can level-up your productions without totally derailing your artistic intent.

But I want you to know that “the one” may be closer than you think. Actually, you’re reading his website right now 😉

I’m Michael.

I’m a pop & worship mix engineer from Dallas, TX and I help artists and producers like you take their unique musical visions and make them a sonic reality.

I love emotional pop music with big drums and crisp vocals. I love spacious, anthemic worship music that captures a genuine spiritual encounter. I just love music that makes you feel something.

Let’s talk!

Let’s make something beautiful and have a blast doing it. Fill out the form and I’ll be in touch soon!

Michael Who?

My name is Michael Child, and I am a mix engineer and producer. I currently live in McKinney, TX with my wife and two young kids. I was California born and Colorado raised.

The son of a pastor, I grew up in church and played on the music team every week throughout my teenage years. After starting a few rock bands and becoming frustrated at poor recording quality in my home town, I decided to learn the ins-and-outs of recording myself and interned at a local studio. After producing records for local artists for a few years, I discovered my passion truly laid in the mixing process.

Over the last 15 years I’ve honed my skills and my sound. I’ve had the opportunity to work with major labels like Bethel Music and Integrity Music for artists like Martin Smith, Tasha Layton and Jonathan & Melissa Helser. I’ve also worked with numerous independent artists whose music is equally important to me.

My job is to get to know you and your music, and then translate everything that makes you incredible and unique into a final mix.  Deadlines are important and I never miss them. Communication is important and you’ll never feel in the dark. Excellence is important and every mix I send out is running through years of experience and a mountain of high end gear. But, none of that matters if the heart goes missing in the process.

My clients come back. They come back because we’re not just making music together, we’re creating a more beautiful world. We’re creating the things that get us out of bed in the morning and power our lives. My goal in every interaction is to make sure you know that your music matters to me as much as it matters to you. This is why my clients trust me.

Yes, mixing is extremely technical. Almost 2 decades of experience and an obnoxiously curious mind have given me an arsenal of techniques that make my mixes sound incredible. But a lot of mix engineers can make music sound good. My highest goal when I open the mix session for your song is to FEEL something. I have to feel it first, then I’ll know exactly what to do to make sure everyone else who hears your song feels it to.

Let’s work together. Let’s have a blast. Let’s make the world more beautiful.
